Peterson Schools are private, non-denominational, non-profit institutions educating students from Preschool through High School across four campuses: Cuajimalpa, Lomas, Paseo and Pedregal. The bilingual program delivers instruction in English and Spanish, with Elementary classes taught primarily in English and first grade's half-English, half-Spanish schedule. The curriculum spans IPC (International Primary Curriculum), Cambridge IGCSE, International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, and American curriculum framework, reflecting alignment to Common Core Standards and IPC. From Preschool, Montessori methods begin journey; Elementary uses constructivist approaches; Middle School follows Cambridge Lower Secondary, preparing for IGCSE; High School starts with IGCSE (grades 9–10) and culminates in the IB Diploma Programme (grades 11–12). The Peterson Schools are accredited by Cambridge International Education, SAIS, IB, COGNIA, and ICA, and recognized for IPC and UNAM/SEP affiliations. Peterson Schools teaches IB (DP), Cambridge IGCSE, IPC (International Primary Curriculum), American Curriculum for students aged 1 to 18.
The Peterson Schools provide levels from Preschool through High School. The curriculum is bilingual, with academic classes taught in English and Spanish, and is aligned to Common Core Standards and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). In Elementary, all academic subjects are taught in English, and since the first grade fifty percent of subjects are taught in English and fifty percent in Spanish. Middle School uses the MAP (NWEA) assessments to monitor progress, with courses in Science, Biology, Physics, Digital Innovation, Social Studies, English, Spanish, Math, Geography, Mexican History, World History, and Visual and Performing Arts, complemented by a robust advisory program. High School begins with the Cambridge IGCSE program for 9th and 10th grades and culminates in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for 11th and 12th grades, a six-subject program that prepares students for university. Accreditations include Cambridge International Education, SAIS, IB Diploma Programme, COGNIA, and ICA, with IPC and UNAM/SEP recognition noted among affiliations.
Graduates have progressed to universities in Mexico, the United States, and Europe. College acceptances for the 2019–2021 cohort include ITAM, Tec de Monterrey, IBERO, UNAM, and IE University, among others, with international acceptances to universities such as the University of Toronto, University of Ottawa, University of Winnipeg, Thompson Rivers University, Lynn University, Temple University, Michigan State University, Pace University, University of Pittsburgh, University of Iowa, University of Delaware, and more.
The Peterson School runs a Gifted and Talented (G/T) program that serves identified GT students with a classroom-based and school-wide approach, guided by district guidelines. The G/T program provides enrichment opportunities and collaborative projects, and a dedicated GT committee helps plan specialized activities such as Science Olympiad, Invention Convention, Spelling Bee, and other enrichment experiences across grades 3–5 and beyond.
Holistic Development is a core focus at the Peterson Schools. The school creates a warm, caring environment to foster students' self-esteem and to develop their natural talents. Emotional Development aims to shape students into responsible, mindful citizens who can influence others positively in their environment and community. Social skills are developed through ongoing interaction with peers and faculty, reinforcing collaboration and respectful relationships. Total immersion in English is central to instruction, with English used across the curriculum. The curriculum is bilingual, with roughly half the modules taught in English and half in Spanish. English language proficiency is developed as a core aim, and subjects such as Science and Mathematics are taught in English to foster critical thinking and confident communication. Preschool through high school programming includes English as a language of instruction and ongoing language development opportunities.
The Psychology and Pedagogical Department works with students and parents to support overall progress and psychological health. Psychologists and teachers collaborate to prevent bullying and to support emotional well‑being. The program is connected to healthy parenting skills and matters related to the student's progress and development.
The school has a Child Safeguarding Policy and a range of safeguards, including a Code of Conduct for Parents, Volunteers, Visitors and Suppliers; a Legal Framework; a Code of Conduct for Employees; a Child Safety and Sexual Abuse Policy (May 2023); a Video Surveillance System Security Policy and Protocol; and a Safeguarding Incident Report Form.

Vikings United scholarship fund exists to support scholarships at Peterson Schools. Mexican scholarships are awarded to graduates; for Class of 2025, 9.4% of graduates received Mexican scholarships, and 11.3% were enrolled in foreign universities and also received scholarships.
