Fees
Application fees

- There is no application fee for admission to Flushing International High School. Families applying through the New York City public school admissions processes are not charged an application or entry tuition fee.

Tuition fees by year group (per term / per year)

- Tuition for all grade levels (Grades 9–12) is USD 0 per year. There is no per-term or per-year tuition charge for students who attend as resident students in the New York public school system. Flushing International High School serves grades 9–12 and operates as a public day high school; therefore there is no tuition billed to families on an annual or term basis.

Billing schedule and payment terms (for any chargeable items)

- There is no tuition billing schedule because the school does not charge tuition. When the school or its vendors collect payments for discretionary or optional items (for example, advanced exam fees, certain extracurricular program fees, off-campus trips, or optional extended-day services) those charges are billed on an event-by-event basis and require separate payment by the family according to the deadline stated for that specific activity. Schools typically post a payment deadline and whether full payment or installments are accepted for the specific activity. For College Board AP exam fees, schools follow College Board ordering and payment deadlines and associated late-order penalties.

Boarding fees (if applicable)

- There are no boarding facilities and no boarding fees. Flushing International High School is a day high school serving recent immigrant students in grades 9–12; it does not operate as a residential or boarding school.

Other potential costs or fees (examples parents should expect)

- School meals: Breakfast and lunch are provided at no cost to New York City public school students; parents are not charged for the standard school meal program during the school year. A la carte or extra items (snacks, second entrees, vending items) may incur charges.

- Advanced Placement (AP) and other standardized exam fees: Students who choose to take AP exams are normally charged a per-exam fee set by the College Board; fees, late-order penalties, and cancellation/unused-exam charges apply according to College Board deadlines. Fee reductions or waivers may be available for eligible students (for example, those qualifying for free or reduced-price meals or other qualifying criteria). Exact AP exam amounts and reduced-fee rules are determined each testing year.

- Field trips, extracurricular activities, and optional program fees: The school may request payments or voluntary contributions to cover transportation, admission, materials, or vendor costs for optional off-campus experiences or certain extracurricular programs. Participation-based charges are assessed per event or program; non-payment of voluntary contributions cannot be used to deny access to required educational activities. Fee-waiver procedures or supports are normally available for families with financial hardship.

- Uniforms and materials: Flushing International High School does not list a mandatory school-wide uniform requirement in its published school materials; any program-specific dress or equipment requirements (for example, a travel program or specific course kit) would be communicated to families and billed separately if applicable. This statement is based on the school's published program and profile information, which do not specify a universal uniform fee.

Refund information (where applicable)

- AP exam refunds and cancellations follow the College Board's published refund and cancellation rules and deadlines; partial refunds or forfeiture of fees can apply after College Board cutoff dates. For other school-collected fees (field trips, program fees, vendor payments), refund policies are set per activity or vendor and handled by the school's business office; families should follow the activity's stated refund deadline and the school's instructions for requesting a refund.

Fee payment options

- Methods commonly accepted for exam and school-collection payments include credit/debit card, check or money order made payable to the school or district, cash (where accepted by the school office), and online payment portals used by the school for that specific activity. For AP exams and similar items, schools often accept online payments or in-person payments to the school's business office; specific payment methods and installment options are communicated when the fee is billed.

Summary for parents (practical points)

- There is no application fee and no tuition to attend Flushing International High School as a resident student (Grades 9–12).
- Expect to pay only for optional items: AP exams (per exam), a la carte meal extras, off-campus trips, or optional extended-hour services; those charges are billed separately with their own deadlines and refund rules.
- There is no boarding program or boarding fee.
- Fee reductions or waivers are commonly available for qualifying families for items such as AP exams and certain program fees; apply for any available income-based forms the school requests.

If you need to act on any billed charge, follow the payment instructions on the school's notice for that activity and observe the stated deadlines (for example, College Board deadlines for AP exams).
