Myanmar International School Yangon (MISY), established in August 2009, is situated in Yankin Township. MISY instructs students from Nursery through Year 13 using the English National Curriculum, followed by Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level examinations. To support non-native English speakers, the school runs a dedicated English as an Additional Language (EAL) program utilizing the WIDA diagnostic test for individualized instruction. The campus provides specialized classrooms for art, music, and computing. Students can participate in unique cultural programs like the Myanmar Traditional Sports club focused on Chin Lone, alongside other clubs such as 3D printing and sign language. In addition to core subjects, all Primary students take classes in Mandarin, Myanmar language, and Myanmar Humanities. The student council actively organizes academic and social events. MISY is an accredited Council of International Schools (CIS) member. The school maintains a maximum class size of 23 students in most grades, requiring CEM testing during admissions.
