The school defines itself as a center of integral formation that seeks academic excellence with a broad transversal values focus that runs through its curriculum. The school's identity rests on five fundamental pillars: Catholic, Secular, and Family; Academic Excellence; English Language; Sport and Extracurricular Activities; and Valuing the Environment. The institution has a highly trained professional team that continually updates pedagogical practice to meet the demands of the current educational system, with a strong sense of suitability, autonomy, and innovation in its management. To achieve its mission and align with its educational principles, the school incorporates various curricular support actions and programs aimed at fostering students' academic development and success. The emphasis on English language as a central pillar indicates that English plays a key role in the curriculum.
The school treats social and emotional development as a core part of its educational approach. It aims to maintain a harmonious and collaborative environment where positive relationships support holistic learning. The plan promotes respectful, inclusive, and constructive convivencia to ensure every member of the school community can grow in a safe and stimulating setting. Conflicts are viewed as opportunities for learning, and students develop empathy, autonomy, and responsibility through formal programs and everyday interactions. A Coexistence Committee oversees prevention and intervention, with representation from the Rector, cycle directors, psycho-education team, inspector, and parent and student representatives, to coordinate actions across the school. The school emphasizes dialogue, social skills, and shared responsibility among students, families, and staff.
The school detects and intervenes in emergent student and staff needs through the Convivencia Escolar framework. It has dedicated psycho-educational and psychological staff across every cycle: First Cycle includes a psychopedagogue, a psychologist, and a speech-language pathologist; Second Cycle includes two psychopedagogues and a psychologist; Enseñanza Media includes a psychopedagogue, a psychologist, and a guidance counselor. The psycho-educational and psychological services provide ongoing support, assessment, and referrals as part of a preventive and formative approach. The plan describes procedures for addressing bullying, harassment, and other risk situations, with documented steps and family collaboration. It emphasizes the rights and duties of students and the development of resilient, responsible individuals through a safe and supportive climate.
English is a pillar of the Proyecto Educativo, underscoring the central role of the English language in the school's identity. The school positions English as a foundational element of its curriculum and culture. Cambridge English resources and alignment appear in the school's materials, alongside affiliation with the International Baccalaureate program, indicating a commitment to high-quality English language learning. The presence of a Cambridge English link and IB involvement demonstrates ongoing engagement with global English standards. English language learning is integrated across programs to develop proficiency as part of the school's mission.
Education and Orientation are designed to strengthen values, habits, and attitudes in a preventative and reparative way. The Orientation program is professionalized, involves all stakeholders, and is applied across time. Topics include prevention of alcohol and drugs, affectivity and sexuality, study habits, and vocational guidance. A team of specialists—psychopedagogues, psychologists, and a speech-language pathologist—supports students across cycles, with dedicated staff for each cycle. The school also offers pastoral activities and services, providing spiritual guidance and Sacraments, to complement secular wellbeing supports and promote a caring school climate.
The Convivencia Escolar plan aims to guarantee a safe, inclusive environment built on rights and responsibilities. It defines a climate of respectful relationships, with a focus on prevention, peaceful conflict resolution, and the development of social skills. A School Coexistence Committee, chaired by the Rector and including cycle directors, psycho-education staff, the inspector, and parent and student representatives, meets regularly to monitor climate and address incidents with due process. The plan includes explicit definitions and responses to bullying and cyberbullying, and outlines procedures for reporting, investigation, and remedy. It emphasizes a rights-based approach, transparency, and inclusive participation to protect all students.
