The school provides its own school buses to the community under a prior contract. All buses are in good mechanical condition, equipped with fire extinguishers, have current insurance, and carry ATTT documentation. Each bus has a hostess who supervises on board to ensure safety and proper conduct and helps students board and alight. Students who do not use the bus service must be dropped off and picked up at the Academy by their parents or a designated person.

The daily uniform for students from 1st through 11th grade consists of a beige polo-style sweater with the academy logo, khaki formal pants, a brown belt, plain khaki socks, and chocolate-colored school shoes. Girls wear a beige polo sweater with a khaki and chocolate plaid skirt (minimum length below the knee) and white knee-high socks; accessories are restricted. For 12th grade, the daily uniform for women includes a white long-sleeve shirt with the academy logo, a white undershirt, khaki formal pants, a khaki tie, a brown belt, khaki socks, and chocolate shoes; the physical education uniform is navy blue sweatpants, a gray sweater with AIAP initials, white socks and white sneakers; grooming rules restrict certain items (men: short hair with no dye and no earrings; women: one pair of small earrings; hair accessories must be chocolate, black, white or khaki).

The school store and cafeteria provide food services for the AIAP community; rules require staff to be treated with courtesy, proper use of items, returning containers, maintaining order, and following the established meal schedule; those who eat have priority seating in the cafeteria, and supervising staff may issue instructions to ensure orderly service.

The Academy was founded and directed by the Centro Cultural Islámico de Colón. In April 2011 it became Academia Internacional Árabe Panameña under the administration of its current owner, Mr. Nabil Ghais.

AIAP offers an intercultural curriculum that begins in preschool, with English as the primary medium of instruction and more than 60% of subjects taught in English. Arabic is taught as a third language to complement core studies. A comprehensive STEM program develops students' analytical and scientific abilities. Extracurricular programs in the arts, sports, and sciences complement classroom learning. The school is Cognia-accredited, the first school in Colón to receive this accreditation. AIAP is part of the National Directorate of Special Education and implements Inclusive Education with a systemic, interactive, and scientific view of the needs of its student population. The school established a Psychopedagogical Cabinet to support students with special educational needs (NEE), from initial evaluation and therapeutic intervention to guiding parents and educators on curricular accommodations. The Cabinet conducts socio-psychopedagogical evaluations and diagnoses learning, behavioral, and emotional difficulties. It employs annual hearing tests to monitor language processing and uses the PROESC group test for students in third through tenth grade to detect possible writing and reading difficulties, enabling timely support through the speech-language pathology department.

Inclusive education is an approach based on valuing diversity as an enriching element of the teaching‑learning process and supportive of human development. Inclusive education means all children learn together regardless of personal, social, or cultural conditions, including those with disabilities. Through the Individualized Educational Program, all students benefit from instruction tailored to their needs, including those who present special educational needs. The school conducts socio-psychopedagogical evaluations and uses psycho‑educational assessments to guide appropriate classroom support.

English instruction is introduced with more than 60% of subjects taught in English. Arabic is offered as a third supplementary language within the curriculum.

AIAP provides mental wellbeing support through its Psychopedagogical Cabinet, formed to support students with special educational needs. It conducts socio-psychopedagogical evaluations and diagnoses learning, emotional, and behavioral difficulties, and offers evaluation, intervention, and guidance to parents and educators on curricular accommodations. The Psychology Department conducts interviews with families and administers testing and assessments; annual hearing tests monitor language processing, and PROESC testing for third through tenth grade detects possible writing and reading difficulties to enable timely intervention.

Safeguarding is addressed in the Manual de convivencia, which details policies and procedures, student rights and responsibilities, disciplinary measures, and health, illness, and medical care. It includes home–school communication provisions; it requires visitors to present identification, controls access to the campus, and assigns responsibilities for events and activities; it outlines procedures for resolving difficulties and concerns and sets guidelines for safety and conduct within the school.

1. Our admissions process allows AIAP to know new families, their goals, their needs, and their educational expectations in order to determine that our teaching model fits their requirements. It also provides the opportunity for parents and children to relate to our experts in student development, as well as with the processes and methodologies implemented at AIAP to achieve the best educational level in Colón. This step establishes whether AIAP is the right fit for the student. 2. Enrollment requirements: Preschool: birth certificate, three recent passport-sized photographs, medical certificate, and a copy of the vaccination card (for students up to 15 years old). Primary and Secondary: certificate of completion from the previous year (if applicable) and the corresponding academic record. This is mandatory. 3. For students coming from other countries, transcripts must be translated (if not in Spanish or English), apostilled, and endorsed by the Ministry of Education of Panama. 4. Acceptance: When the above steps are completed, the admissions team will evaluate the application, the psychological reports, and other information to determine the child's educational needs and to ensure optimal learning within their abilities.
