The academic program uses a rotating block schedule with six 85‑minute block classes and two 50‑minute classes. Students attend three block classes and the regular class daily. Block classes are year-long and meet every other day.

Shirts are dress-code: Polo or Oxford shirts embroidered with the Mountainview or Eagle logo in blue, yellow, or white; no other shirts may be worn. Slacks, shorts, or skirts must be black or tan and knee-length, worn at the hips; P.E. uniform is Mountainview T‑shirt with navy blue or black shorts.

Food options: Each student brings a healthy mid-morning snack and lunch daily with a water bottle. A designated lunch period is scheduled on campus, and meals are supported by a covered food pavilion.

The school is governed by the Mountainview Christian School Board, which operates under the Carver Model of Policy Governance; the school is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Mountainview's curriculum is based on an American system with a Christian foundation and integrates biblical worldview across all content. English/Language Arts and Mathematics follow the United States Common Core State Standards, while the Next Generation Science Standards govern science content. Social Studies learning objectives align with the Aero Social Studies Standards. Core subjects include English, Math, Science, Social Studies and Bible, with additional offerings in fine arts, physical education, computer and electives. Instruction uses a six-block rotation (six 85-minute classes and two 50-minute classes), with block classes meeting year-long and on an every-other-day schedule. AP courses are offered on a rotating basis, including AP Calculus AB for qualifying juniors/seniors and AP English Language/Composition, AP English Literature, AP Chemistry and AP Biology for appropriate grades.

Graduates matriculate to universities worldwide, including Seoul National University (South Korea), Korea University (South Korea), Arizona State University (USA), UC Berkeley (USA), Leiden University (Netherlands), Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia) and Universitas Pelita Harapan (Indonesia).

Gifted and committed Christian teachers lead courses in Bible, Christian theology, apologetics, discipleship, and worship leadership.

An Academic Guidance Counselor supports students' social-emotional needs and college/career planning (Ms. Laura Salvadora for 2025-26). The School Board notes that social and emotional well-being concerns can be directed to the counselor. The Anti-Bullying Policy establishes a safe environment and provides counseling for victims when incidents occur. Safeguarding is a priority; Mountainview is a CSPN member with multilingual child-safety reporting forms and an email address for safeguarding (childsafety@mtview.id). Spiritual Formation supports mental resilience by addressing physical, mental, and emotional challenges with faith through Bible teaching, devotions, weekly chapel programs, service projects, and dorm life.

Medium of instruction is English. Indonesian and ELL (English Language Learners) are offered as language options; 9th-12th grade schedules show Indonesian or ELL. Indonesian language classes are available for language credit.

1. Create an Online Application account and then Create A New Student Application for your child. You can log in and out of your account and access your open application. You can print completed applications and reprint supplemental forms if needed. This system lets you track progress through the admissions process. 2. Submit the Online Application Package and, if applicable, the Boarding Form. Include Birth Certificate, Passport for the applicant and at least one parent, KITAS or KITAP, and a recommendation letter from the most recent school, along with academic records. Indonesian citizens should also provide Kartu Keluarga, Ijazah Nasional, and Ijin Belajar (may be obtained after admission). The admission fee is Rp 600,000 per applicant and is non-refundable. 3. The Registrar extends an invitation to eligibility testing and an interview on a mutually agreed date. The applicant will take two tests: one for English proficiency and one for academic aptitude, and the interview will involve the applicant and their parents. On-site assessment is preferred, but online assessment is available if needed. 4. Admission decisions are sent by email within two weeks after testing and the interview. If admission is denied based on testing, a retest may be requested after at least six months. Upon acceptance, parents commit to tuition and to participating in religious activities, and must agree to the school's conduct standards. 5. Mountainview maintains an ongoing admissions process throughout the school year, and a wait-list may be used when space is not available at the desired grade level. Upon space becoming available, applicants on the waitlist may be tested and interviewed. 6. Sibling consideration is available, but admission remains based on academic selection and seat availability. 7. New students undergo a probationary period of one year; enrollment decisions depend on academic achievement and adaptation to school culture, with regular assessment of English Language Learners. 8. The school does not discriminate in admissions or administration on the basis of gender, race, color, or ethnicity. 9. If there are known special education needs, parents should disclose these at application time and provide documentation; the school may request additional information to determine accommodations. 10. Furlough or sabbatical leave requests should be communicated to the Registrar; the school does not reserve a space for more than one year for students on furlough.

Mountainview budgets for a small number of scholarships each year to help families that may be struggling. Please contact your school principal for the scholarship application if your family is in need of extra financial help. All scholarship applications are due on April 1st for the upcoming school year. Decisions will be made on all applications after the April 1st deadline and parents will be notified.

The wait-list is established for applicants who have completed the Online Application package and paid the admission fee but find that there is currently no available space at the desired grade level. Upon request from parents, the admission team may consider granting an admission test and interview. If a student passes the test but space is not immediately available, they will be placed on a waitlist. Immediate notification will be issued if a space becomes available, presenting a potential pathway for admission.
