BSJ places student wellbeing at the core of daily life. Wellbeing is defined as the confidence, resilience, and emotional security students need to thrive academically and personally. A comprehensive wellbeing framework includes pastoral support, student guidance, and responsive care that helps every child feel safe, seen, and supported. From day-to-day check-ins to structured support services, mental health and emotional wellbeing are prioritised alongside learning progress. This whole-school approach empowers students to participate fully in learning, build positive relationships, and flourish through every stage of the BSJ journey. The school also engages families through initiatives such as the Parent Wellbeing Series.
BSJ offers a comprehensive English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme that supports non-native English speakers in fully engaging with the English-medium curriculum.
BSJ is committed to supporting the emotional, social, and mental wellbeing of its students. The Counselling Team provides a safe, confidential, and supportive space where students can navigate challenges, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies.
