The school has a two-tier uniform: Grades 1–8 wear a white shirt with a blue pullover or jacket bearing the school logo and dark shoes; Grades 9–12 wear a dress code with girls in white shirts or T-shirts and black skirts, trousers or dresses with black blazers, and boys in white shirts or T-shirts with black trousers and black blazers. Defiant or vulgar clothing, dresses or shorts above knee length, and vibrant makeup or jewelry are not permitted.

The school has four Houses: Iberians, Colchians, Brits and Celts. Each student receives a House shirt, and a Head Girl and Head Boy are appointed with captains elected from Primary and Secondary and a teacher as House Coordinator. Competitions are held between Houses with points awarded by teachers and updated weekly toward the end-of-year House Cup.

The school is a non-profit organization. It was established in 2003 as the first British-oriented secondary school in Tbilisi and renamed St. George's British-Georgian School in 2013.

Senior years (Grades 10–12) follow IGCSEs and may lead to both the Georgian National Certificate and British A Levels, with Edexcel qualifications providing direct access to international universities. At the end of Grade 6 students sit iPrimary exams in English, Maths and Science; at the end of Grade 9 they take IGCSEs in English and a Foreign Language, with options in remaining subjects; and Grades 11–12 may pursue A Levels or Georgian exams for local university entry.

Graduates complete Edexcel International GCSEs in Grade 9 and may continue to Edexcel GCE A Levels in Grades 11–12. They can also obtain the Georgian National School-leaving Certificate for local university entry, with Edexcel A Levels providing direct access to international universities.

Admission: Students can be enrolled at any time of the school year. However, it is usually better for students to start at the beginning of a semester, either in September or January. The placement of a particular student depends on his or her age. The school will try to keep all children of the same ages studying together. A placement test may be required on admission. The division includes a Child Protection Officer, a team of psychologists, a doctor, and a speech therapist. Psychologists provide individual or group counseling to support the psycho-emotional state and to enable students, including those with disabilities, to participate fully in learning. The division offers psychological materials, activities, training, and workshops for students, parents, and teachers. The David Bezhuashvili Education Foundation established the 'Excellent Student of European School' scholarship program. The scholarship is merit-based and not based on financial need. The Foundation reviews grants at the end of every academic semester. Awards renew automatically from semester to semester as long as the recipient remains in good academic and social standing. The school establishes eligibility criteria and benchmarks for scholarship applicants. The Foundation is a non-profit charity organization that supports educational programs in Georgia.
