Billing Schedule and Payment Terms

The EUR 4,500 down payment may be refunded if the family cancels by registered letter within 15 days of the student's admission date; beyond 15 days amounts paid at enrolment are generally not refunded. In special circumstances (for example, the school proposes an educational arrangement or directs a student to education not provided at ISN, or for Grade 5 and Grade 8 students who obtain a place in a French state collège/lycée under the rules described), the school will refund sums already paid as set out in the financial terms.
- Early departures by parents require 90 days' (3 months) written notice by registered letter; any semester during which the child attends must be paid in full. Amounts paid will not be refunded in the normal course. Expulsion for breach of obligations does not entitle the family to a refund of fees already paid.

Uniform Requirement

A school uniform is required for Young Explorers to Grade 10. The uniform consists of a white polo shirt and a zipped hoodie with the school logo, plus a PE kit. Bottoms must be navy blue and smart/tailored; shoes should be a single color; jeans, leggings, tracksuit bottoms, mini skirts, flip flops or sliders are not allowed. Grades 11 and 12 follow a smart casual dress code.

Food Options

ISN Nice provides daily school meals served in the on-campus canteen, following national health guidelines to ensure a balanced, hot meal at lunchtime; microwaves are available for students who wish to heat food. Lower, middle and high school students may register for the school food service, and preschool children have seated service. Students may also bring lunches from home to eat under supervision.

House System

ISN has a four-house system: House of Ares (Red), House of Apollo (Yellow), House of Poseidon (Blue), and House of Athena (Green). Students remain in the same House across Primary, Middle and High School, earn points for achievements, and Fridays feature Spirit Day where colors represent each House.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- School fees are invoiced on an annual basis and payable in two instalments: first instalment 40% and second instalment 60%.
- Typical due dates for the two instalments for the 2025/2026 cycle were: first instalment on or before 11 March 2025; second instalment on or before 1 June 2025. Late payments incur a 5% charge on each overdue instalment from the day following the due date. The student's place may be withdrawn for non-payment of instalments.
- Enrolment is for the full school year and school fees are payable on a whole-year basis; the school calculates fees pro rata only for admissions during the year according to the published terms.

Boarding fees
- Boarding is not offered. There are no boarding fees because the school does not provide boarding facilities or residency arrangements.

Other costs and typical extras
- Items included in the annual school fees: stationery; materials and textbooks; an iPad for Classes 4 to 9; a MacBook for Classes 10 to 13; the annual CAM bus card; external examination registration fees (IB MYP, IB CP, IB DP, Pearson BTEC); outings and short educational visits connected to classwork; the major field trip for Classes 3 to 9; lunch for students in Transition to Class 11; the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) fee and Association Membership Fee for each parent.
- Items not included in the annual school fees and charged separately: individual musical instrument lessons; certain extracurricular activities; optional lunch at the Sunrise Café for Classes 12 and 13; specific learning support, which is invoiced on an individual basis. Additional optional activities or services are charged at cost.

Refund and withdrawal policy
- Application, registration and Capital Development Fund fees are non-refundable. Annual school fees are non-refundable for cancelled enrolment, withdrawal, or early departure; the school's terms state that, under the published conditions, school fees will not be refunded for cancelled enrolment, withdrawal, or early departure.

Fee payment options and invoicing
- Payments are accepted by bank transfer to the school's account and by cheque drawn on a bank based in Monaco or France where permitted; the school provides bank account details on invoices. Cash payments and credit-card payments are not accepted under the school's published payment conditions. The school may require identification and supporting documentation for third-party or corporate payments.

Food Options

The self-service cafeteria provides hot lunches for Transition to Year 10 every school day except Wednesday; the cost is included in tuition. Students in Years 11–13 usually go out for lunch.

House System

ISM has a House System. The houses are Shackleton and Grimaldi. The system fosters teamwork and healthy competition across academic, sporting, artistic and service-based activities.

Governance and Ownership

The school is governed by a Board of Trustees. It maintains a sister-school relationship with King's College School, Wimbledon.

Curriculum

IB continuum: Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP). The school is bilingual in English and French across Early Years to Secondary School. Mathematics is taught through a bilingual English-French curriculum based on the Singapore Maths Programme. Information Technology is an integral part of the curriculum.

Exam Results

IB Diploma Programme and IB Career-related Programme results for 2025 were the best in ISM's history, with 100% pass rate for both programmes. Five students achieved 40+ points in the IB Diploma Programme, representing 17% of the cohort. Helena Venturi achieved a perfect 45 points in the IB Diploma Programme.

Higher Education Progression

Graduates have progressed to universities including Saint Louis University, LUISS University, and The International University of Monaco (IUM).

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school's Code of Conduct and Student Profile form the framework for its Personal and Social Education programme.
