Application fees
- A non-refundable application fee is required with every completed application. The standard application fee is either BMD 75 or BMD 100 depending on the programme applied for. For the Senior Years Programme the application fee is BMD 100.
Tuition fees (2025/2026 academic year)
- Early Years Programme (EYP):
- Single Payment Plan (annual): BMD 22,790.
- Three Payment Plan (annual total): BMD 23,020.
- Ten Payment Plan (annual total): BMD 23,479.
- Years 1–3 (Primary lower):
- Single Payment Plan (annual): BMD 25,725.
- Three Payment Plan (annual total): BMD 25,988.
- Ten Payment Plan (annual total): BMD 26,502.
- Years 4–13 (Upper primary, secondary, senior years):
- Single Payment Plan (annual): BMD 26,650.
- Three Payment Plan (annual total): BMD 26,919.
- Ten Payment Plan (annual total): BMD 27,450.
- Books and academic resources are charged separately (see additional charges below).
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Payment plan deadlines for the 2025/2026 year:
- Single Payment Plan: full payment due by July 25, 2025.
- Three Payment Plan: Term 1 due by July 25, 2025; Term 2 due by December 19, 2025; Term 3 due by March 20, 2026.
- Ten Payment Plan: first payment due by July 25, 2025; thereafter on the 20th day of each subsequent month for a total of 10 months.
- Payment terms and consequences:
- Late payments incur finance charges applied to accounts without exception.
- Fees unpaid by the midpoint of a term may lead to interruption of the student's education and/or withholding of report cards and transcripts.
- Students with overdue balances may be prevented from travelling on school trips abroad without Head of School permission.
Other charges and typical additional fees
- Books and academic resource charges (billed to accounts):
- EYP–Year 3: BMD 40 per student.
- Year 4–Year 6: BMD 75 per student.
- Year 7–Year 11: BMD 275 per student.
- Years 12 & 13: book charges billed individually based on subjects chosen (billed in Term 2).
- Technology and device charges (charged in July 2025 as indicated):
- Laptops (Year 7 and new Years 8–13): BMD 1,350 (approx.; subject to vendor pricing).
- Technology fee (Years 7–13): BMD 75 per student.
- Chromebook (Year 6): BMD 100.
- Yearbook: BMD 75 per student (charged to accounts in July). Sibling exemptions may apply if the Business Office is notified in writing by June 30.
- Instrument rental: BMD 75 per term (billed in arrears).
- External exam fees, invigilation, transcripts, courier charges, graduation expenses and similar services are charged as applicable and are available on request.
- Uniform and school-shop costs (examples; items sold via the BHS PTA School Shop):
- Polo shirts from about BMD 30; blazers from about BMD 95 (girls' blazer) and higher for some adult sizes; skorts and other items typically in the BMD 30–45 range. Detailed uniform price listings and the PTA/School Shop are available for ordering.
Boarding fees
- The Bermuda High School for Girls operates as a day school and does not provide boarding accommodation; annual boarding fees are listed as zero on directory listings.
Refunds, registration and withdrawal
- Application fees are non-refundable. The Senior Years Programme requires a non-refundable application fee of BMD 100 and a non-refundable registration fee of BMD 100 to secure a place (registration fee due by February 28 of the year of entry for SYP).
- Withdrawal notice and responsibility for fees:
- To avoid being charged for the next term, written notice of withdrawal must be given by the following deadlines: end of March for students not returning in September; end of September for students not returning in January; end of December for students not returning in April. If tentative notice is given by the end of Term 2, a final decision by May 22, 2026 is required to avoid penalty. Failure to provide timely written notice may result in the school charging fees in part or in full at the school's discretion.
Fee payment options and how payments are accepted
- Bank transfer: the school accepts bank transfers and provides local bank account details (examples: Bank of Butterfield and HSBC Bermuda accounts are used for Senior Years application payments).
- Online payment / payment portal: the school provides an online payment facility for certain transactions (a payment form / "Click to make a payment" option is available for registrar-related payments). Proof of online payment is required where noted.
- Direct enquiries and business-office handling: the Business Office manages billing and payment-plan arrangements; contact details for the Business Office and accounts email are provided for account questions.
Scholarships, bursaries and credits against fees
- Scholarships, merit awards and bursaries are applied to the student's fee account and are divided equally over the family's selected payment plan. Financial aid is credited according to the payment option chosen (annual, per term or monthly). Scholarship and bursary programmes (including entrance scholarships) are available for specified year-group entry; bursaries and awards have separate application processes and may be means-tested.
