Gordonstoun Abu Dhabi, opening in 2026 on Jubail Island, brings the UK National Curriculum, EYFS, GCSE, and A-Level frameworks to a unique setting among 3,000 hectares of mangroves. The school will offer classes from Nursery through Year 13. A distinctive element of Gordonstoun’s education is its heavy emphasis on outdoor learning and character development, diverging from purely academic selection. Students will participate in a signature tradition of "service to others" one day a week, engaging in activities such as coastguard training and assisting the elderly. Furthermore, the campus will integrate the Duke of Edinburgh International Award, originally founded at its Scottish alma mater, blending leadership challenges with deep engagement in UAE culture and traditions. The co-educational day school will be led by founding principal Mr. Brendan Law, aiming to foster resilience and confidence in students of varying abilities.
