Introduction

LFPL in Istanbul is a private international school delivering the French national curriculum through the AEFE network. The school operates on two campuses: Beyoğlu for Preschool and Primary, and Tarabya for Middle and High School, linked by a school bus. The curriculum centers on multilingual education, with French as the language of instruction, Turkish taught from preschool, and English introduced as a foreign language; German or Spanish are also offered. The program strengthens students' written and spoken French, expands foreign language courses through PARLE, and supports an English-language pathway in the sixth form. A French International Baccalaureate (BFI) may be opened as a flagship language programme. The general baccalaureate prepares students for higher education in France and abroad. The two-site structure supports a continuous journey from nursery to lycée, with modern facilities for language, science and technology, arts, and sport. Extracurriculars include theatre, sports tournaments, language trips, and multicultural celebrations.

Academics

Lycee Francais Pierre Loti teaches French Curriculum.

Curriculum

Multilingual education is central, with French as the language of instruction and communication. Turkish is taught from preschool onward, and English is introduced as a foreign language, with additional languages such as German or Spanish offered. The curriculum strengthens students' written and oral French, expands foreign language courses (PARLE), and supports an English-language pathway in the sixth form. A French International Baccalaureate (BFI) may be opened as a flagship language programme. The school operates across Preschool, Primary, Middle School, and High School, culminating in a general baccalaureate designed to prepare students for higher education in France and abroad.

Higher Education Progression

The general secondary school leads to university studies and, where applicable, to preparatory classes for grandes écoles or other specialized programs. The baccalaureate pathway is designed to prepare students for higher education in France and in other countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom. The program emphasizes international opportunities and pathways beyond France.
