Gateway College Dehiwala is located at No 285/1, Galwihara Road. The campus follows a comprehensive British Curriculum framework, including Pearson Edexcel IGCSE, Cambridge Primary and Secondary, and BTEC qualifications, with the English National Curriculum at core and elements of the Sri Lankan curriculum to support holistic development. Established in 2013 through the merger of Gateway College Bambalapitiya and American International School, it serves Playgroup to Advanced Level and features a campus with auditorium, indoor basketball court, a swimming pool, an innovation studio, and a Math Lab. Facilities include specialised classrooms, smart classrooms, ICT labs, science labs, libraries, STEM rooms, and creative arts rooms, plus multipurpose spaces. Extracurricular offerings span art and drama spaces, a Music Room, a Production and Broadcasting Studio, Open Air Theatre, and indoor/outdoor play areas. Clubs cover Academic and Intellectual, Arts and Creative, and Community and Service, with participation in national and international platforms such as MUN.

Gateway College Dehiwala is located in Dehiwala, a southern suburb of Colombo, Sri Lanka. The campus address is No 285/1 Galwihara Road, Dehiwala, on the Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia fringe. The area is part of the Colombo metropolitan region.

The school day runs from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Gateway College - Dehiwala teaches British Curriculum, Pearson Edexcel IGCSE, Cambridge (Primary), Cambridge (Secondary), BTEC Qualification.
The school models its curriculum on the English National Curriculum and includes elements of the local Sri Lankan curriculum, with a focus on holistic development.
Gateway College Dehiwala reports that students secure admission to prestigious universities in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand and Japan, including Stanford, MIT, Dartmouth and Cambridge; the school partners with Mentoraa for higher education counselling.
The school integrates daily mindfulness for all students. MindUP, an evidence-based social and emotional learning program, is taught in Home Room sessions from 2022 onward and is grounded in Neuroscience, Positive Psychology, Mindful Awareness and Social-Emotional Learning. Students engage in mindfulness activities including mindful listening, mindful breathing, mindful seeing, mindful body scanning and mindful gratitude.
Gateway Achievers provides support for children with learning disabilities.
Pastoral care is integral to the Gateway approach and trained counsellors are available to support emotional and mental wellbeing. Mindfulness daily practice and religious observances contribute to emotion regulation, resilience, and a caring school climate.
Safeguarding is prioritized to create a calm, disciplined, respectful, caring and ethical environment for children. Mindfulness and pastoral care support safeguarding across all Gateway College branches.
01 Application Submission. Complete the official application form and submit required documents. 02 Interview Process. Students may attend an assessment or meeting depending on grade level. 03 Confirmation & Enrolment. Successful applicants receive an offer letter and proceed with enrolment.
Two full Advanced Level scholarships are offered. They will be awarded to two students following the Advanced Level programme at Gateway College Colombo. One scholarship will go to a student already studying at Gateway College and the other to a student who wishes to join Gateway College to pursue Advanced Level studies. These scholarships are for students who wish to take up any of the following programmes: 4 A Levels; 3 A Levels and a Diploma; 2 A Levels and the Foundation Diploma in Sport; SACE Stage 2. Applicants who have completed International GCSE/GCSE, Sri Lankan O Levels or SACE 1 are eligible to apply. Applications were to be submitted by 19 June 2023 and should include the CV of the student and a 200-word write-up explaining why the applicant should be considered; the donor remains anonymous.
