Introduction

Green Hills Academy offers an international and locally grounded education with clear routes to Cambridge IGCSE, IB Diploma and national programmes. It has been a Cambridge International Centre since 2002 and an IB World School since 2005, delivering qualification pathways alongside Rwanda's standards. From Nursery to Grade 8, Singapore Math develops mathematical thinking, with remedial support available as needed. The campus features science laboratories, a library, and rooms for computer science, art, and physical education to support learning. English is the language of instruction from Tiny Tots through Grade 12, with English and French taught in the early years and Kinyarwanda and German offered as subjects; from Grade 9 all students study in English to align with Cambridge IGCSE, IB and national programmes. Co-curricular life includes choir, Rwandan traditional dance and drumming, debate, drama, art, and computers and multimedia, with G5–G8 options and a physical education program, plus after-school activities.
