Riga State 1st Gymnasium is a public secondary school in Riga, located at Raiņa bulvāris 8. It operates under Riga City Municipality's Education Department and offers a primary education program (7–9) and six upper secondary programs (10–12). All tracks increase hours in mathematics and the first foreign language, with senior-year options adding an in-depth course in an additional subject depending on the chosen direction. In grades 10–12, core subjects include Latvian, English (B2), a second foreign language (B1), mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science and physical education. Students can follow a Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Technology track or the General Education/IB track, the latter including the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme taught in Latvian and English. The school also offers a German Diploma Programme (DSD) and specialty electives such as Mathematical Analysis, Astronomy, Robotics and Entrepreneurship.
