Introduction

International School Rimini (ISR), founded in 2018 and part of the BDC Group, is the only IB World School in Romagna. Located in the center of Rimini, ISR is authorized for the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). The school currently educates students from Early Years (age 3) through Grade 10, with High School classes opening in September 2026 to continue the MYP curriculum. Instruction is entirely in English, with specific exceptions for Italian and Spanish language classes, all taught by international teachers. Curriculum

ISR Rimini is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for Early Years and Primary and pursuing authorization for the Middle Years Programme (MYP). The Early Years follow the PYP in an inquiry-based, play-based setting to foster global citizenship. Primary uses the PYP with six Units of Inquiry per year within the Programme of Inquiry, covering the transdisciplinary themes: Who we are; Where we are in place and time; How we express ourselves; How the world works; How we organize ourselves; Sharing the planet. The Middle School is a candidate for the MYP, with a broad curriculum including Language and Literature (English and Italian), Language Acquisition (English, Italian, Spanish), Sciences, Mathematics, Arts, Design, and Physical Education, organized into interdisciplinary units. High School will open in September 2026 under a fully international model aligned with global standards, designed to prepare students for international university and career pathways with emphasis on critical thinking, creativity, and global awareness; lessons are taught in English with exceptions for Italian and Spanish by international teachers, and the school day runs 7:45–15:30.
