SIS Palembang is part of the Singapore Intercultural Schools (SIS) network, serving learners aged 2 to 18. The school delivers a blended curriculum with Singaporean and Cambridge pathways. In Primary, the curriculum follows the Singaporean framework with a cross-curricular focus on Life Skills, Knowledge Skills and Subject Based Learning. The Preschool uses the Nurturing Early Learners Framework with six learning areas and integrated Mandarin and Information Technology. In Secondary, students study Singaporean and Cambridge programmes, with Cambridge Check Point and IGCSE, and the Junior College offers Cambridge A Levels (AS and A Levels) across science, maths, languages, humanities and creative disciplines. Primary Curriculum aligns with the Singaporean Curriculum and focuses on Life Skills, Knowledge Skills, and Subject Based Learning to develop knowledge, values and competencies for the 21st century. The Preschool program uses the Nurturing Early Learners Framework to build foundations through six learning areas, with Information Technology and Mandarin integrated. The Secondary School Curriculum adopts both the Singaporean and Cambridge University programmes for students aged 13–16, offering a broad range of subjects and emphasising core knowledge, life skills and flexible school-based activities. The Junior College offers the Cambridge International A Level, with AS and A Level assessments at the end of the course, and a wide range of subjects across sciences, mathematics, languages, humanities, and creative/professional disciplines. Admission Process: 1. School Inquiry / School Tour. 2. Initial Document Submission & Processing Enrollment Form for the placement process. Documents required include a photocopy of the student's passport and two years of their academic transcripts from their current school, if any. 3. Registration Fee. 4. Interview with Head Teacher / Deputy Head Teacher for all levels. If the student and parents are located abroad, the interview is conducted via Skype at Jakarta time, and the time and date are notified by the school. 5. Confirmation of Acceptance. 6. The SIS Founder Scholarship was established by the family of Jaspal Sidhu, Founder and Chairman of the SIS Group of Schools to honour Karam Sidhu and to make quality education accessible to talented and determined students in their K-12 journey. The scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate financial need, a passion for learning, and traits such as integrity, humility, compassion, perseverance, and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively. Specific scholarship amounts are determined on a case-by-case basis and approved by the Board of SIS Group of Schools upon recommendation from the Head Teachers of each school. The aim is to provide a leg-up on life and a stepping stone to greater heights. An example recipient, Hanna, was awarded a full scholarship covering 100% of school fees until graduation.
