The SIS Founder Scholarship was established by the Sidhu family, the Founder and Chairman of the SIS Group of Schools, to honour Karam Sidhu and to make quality education accessible to talented and determined students in their K-12 journey. It is awarded to students who are in financial need, who show a passion for learning, and who demonstrate integrity, humility, compassion, perseverance and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively. Specific amounts are determined on a case-by-case basis and approved by the SIS Group of Schools Board on the Head Teachers' recommendation. The aim is to provide a stepping stone for deserving students to reach greater heights. The Founder Scholarship can, in some cases, cover full school fees for recipients. A founder-related press release describes a full-fee recipient as an illustrative example.
