Wellbeing

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Healing Habitat is a cornerstone of social-emotional learning, addressing students' emotional needs and providing a space for authentic expression. It includes features such as the Buddy Bench to help peers connect, the Garden of Kindness to encourage helping others, and the Tree of Self-Compassion to foster self-care, with the Let It Go Pond, Gratitude Tree, and Tree of Silence supporting reflection and emotional regulation. Healing Habitat is internationally recognized, with Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center and the HuffPost highlighting the school's well‑being practices. Integral Education and Navsrijan broaden SEL through a school‑wide focus on developing the emotional and social dimensions of students, including a Buddy Interaction programme pairing main‑school students with Navsrijan buddies. The school emphasises social skills, empathy, resilience, and personal development as core to its holistic education.,

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The school adopts inclusive educational principles and has a dedicated Special Educator who can address individual differences and aims to empower students to develop their skills to the fullest. Identification of concerns is initiated early (often in LKG/UKG), with observations guiding intervention. Teachers are trained to identify students with concerns, and workshops help parents understand the importance of early identification. When identified, students receive one‑to‑one sessions to bridge academic gaps, with monthly meetings with parents to track progress and ensure collaborative involvement between home and school.

Mental Wellbeing

Student well-being is at the centre of the school's activities, with in‑school counselling and guidance services. Counselling provides a warm, accepting environment for students to discuss concerns and be guided to make better choices. It addresses emotional, behavioural, social and academic issues, supports personality development and social skills, and helps students develop skills for organisation, study habits, goal setting, and time management. It also helps students cope with stress and peer pressure.,

Safeguarding

The school provides staff training on personal safety and responding to sexual abuse. Healing Habitat supports emotional safety and provides a space for authentic self-expression, addressing students' emotional needs. Parent‑Teacher Meetings are held regularly to discuss student progress, and written parental consent is required for inter‑school events and field trips. The School Regulations state that while every possible care is taken to ensure safety and security, the school is not responsible for injuries sustained during organized activities or transit.,
