The Deutsche Schule Hurghada is a German international school (Begegnungsschule) offering German-language instruction with Arabic curriculum for students aged 2 to 18. The school provides Kindergarten (2–4), Preschool (5–6), Primary (1–4) and Secondary (5–10), culminating in the GIB Diploma in grade 12. The Thuringian curriculum underpins learning, enriched by Arabic elements and higher-level differentiation. Final degrees include the German language diploma (DSD I), Mittlere Reife in grade 10, and the mixed-language IB diploma (GIB) in grade 12. The Egyptian department focuses on Egypt and the Arab world, with Arabic taught as a foreign language in the German section. Founded in 2006, it became a PASCH school in 2008 and received the Auslandsschule designation in 2014. The school is sponsored by Germany and offers small classes, continuous German language education from age 2, and an all-in-one campus with an all-day concept to foster community. A distinctive feature is the GIB diploma.

Alumni include Kenzi El Shaer, who graduated with the GIB diploma in May 2022 and is studying Political Science and Technology at the Technical University of Munich; Abdulrahman Nojus Demirkiran, who will graduate in 2023 and start a dual study program in Embedded Systems – Aerospace Engineering at Airbus Defence and Space in Munich; Hakim Ibrahim, who completed the IB Diploma in 2019 and later pursued a banking apprenticeship in Germany.
The school has a family atmosphere with small classes and individual support. The all-day concept promotes community through learning, playing and eating together. An internationally qualified team of teachers provides continuous German language education from the age of 2. The curriculum includes German and Arabic components.
