Some students receive enlarged print or clearly laid-out templates due to visual impairments, and seating arrangements are adjusted to reduce distractions for concentration issues. For students with concentration difficulties and psychological issues, seating adjustments and access to the school psychologist were arranged, and there were team trainings to improve classroom climate. Parents are extensively advised and supported through conversations and parent meetings, and are sometimes directed to external services such as speech therapy when appropriate.
The German language program uses German as the language of instruction for the DSBA. Mastery of German is considered essential for success in the school's program. DaF (German as a Foreign Language) and DaM (German as a Mother Tongue) are part of the language concept. Deutschsprachiger Fachunterricht (DFU) means about four-fifths of German instruction occurs in German-language teaching within subjects. The content and language requirements are addressed through language-sensitive teaching across subjects, integrating language support into the curriculum. The Deutsch-Konzept is designed to guide the language program from DaF orientation in kindergarten and primary to DaM in higher levels.
