Wellbeing is central to St Paul's Grammar School. The Wellbeing Framework seeks to flourish staff and students by focusing on resilience, empathy, and belonging within a Christian community. Flourishing recognises that life includes both joy and sorrow, and invites the school community to lament and celebrate together. Relationships are at the heart of the approach, with students supported to build and maintain connection at every stage. In class, teachers demonstrate unconditional positive regard to help students make wise choices, while staff nurture values and engagement to support relationships, achievement, and a sense of community. The aim is a holistic development that strengthens academics, personal growth, and spiritual formation.
St Paul's hosts a strong international student cohort that enriches the learning environment. English language proficiency is a requirement for enrolment, with additional language support where needed. Some international students may attend an English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) before starting at St Paul's. The Homestay programme places international students with local families, with a dedicated Homestay Coordinator providing 24-hour support when students are in residence. St Paul's participates in the ESOS framework as a CRICOS provider to protect international students and support visa compliance. Chaplaincy supports mental wellbeing and spiritual development. The Chaplaincy program nurtures spiritual wellbeing and provides a supportive environment for exploring the Christian faith. Chapel services occur fortnightly for the Junior and Secondary school communities, and student-led CRU groups, Bible studies, and other activities foster belonging and faith.
